Check out the great events below to meet new people, network with other grad students and young professionals, or deepen your faith:
Picnic in the Arb: June 4, 2017
Join us on Sunday, June 4, around 1:00 PM, or immediately following noon Mass, and we’ll head over to the Arb together for a picnic. Bring along snacks and drinks, or we’ll swing by one of the variety of food places along the way. Please also feel free to bring blankets to sit on, frisbees, footballs, soccer balls, anything you think is a quintessential addition to a picnic! If you want to meet us at the Arb, we’ll be in the “Main lawn” area.
And save the date for our annual Welcome BBQ on August 27, 2017!
Monday Mass & Dinner
Each month we host a Monday mass & dinner right at St. Mary. Join us to worship, connect, and enjoy a delicious dinner with our grad/yp community. Dates for summer 2017 are June 12, July 10, and August 7. We begin with mass at 7:00 PM followed by a light meal – and because it’s summer we’ll also have lawn games and time to socialize outside!
Grad Student & Young Professional Fall Retreat Fall 2017
This overnight retreat offers participants the chance to reflect on their experiences and discover how God our creator is already at work in our lives. Weber Center in Adrian, MI. Register by Oct 22, 2016.
Busy Person Retreat Fall 2017 & Lent 2018
Lent is a great time of the year to dedicate more of our lives to reflection and prayer. If you are someone looking to start a daily habit of prayer, to dive deeper into an already active prayer life, or simply to grow in your relationship with God – the Busy Person Retreat (BPR) is for you. With this retreat, retreatants commit to 15 minutes of individual daily prayer and 30-45 minutes of conversation each week with a spiritual companion.
BPR runs the length of the Lenten season – beginning on Feb 23rd with the opening dinner and concluding on April 18th with the closing banquet.
The campus ministry team will use the preferences you indicate on your registration form to prayerfully match you with a spiritual companion who best meets your needs and desires. Click the following link to learn more about spiritual companionship (often called spiritual direction): http://www.
Small Church Communities Fall 2017 & Lent 2018
SCC’s provide time each week to read, pray, and grapple with the Word, reflect on God’s role in our lives and grow in faith and fellowship. Check out the SCC Page for more details.
We have also added a drop-in weekly SCC at our parish for grad students and young professionals! This group meets Tuesdays at 6:30 PM year-round.
Please contact Fr. Joe Wagner, S.J. for more information about the Grad/YP group.
