"But we have to celebrate And rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life: he was lost and has been found " —Luke 15:32

Alternative Spring Break Mission

The Alternative Spring Break program challenges students to:

  1. Learn about and critically examine interlinking issues such as homelessness, poverty, hunger, violence, environmental destruction, and marginalization of social groups.

  2. Take thoughtful, meaningful action towards the resolution of these social problems.

  3. Listen to and understand community needs, recognize community strengths, and work with the community in reciprocal community relationships.

  4. Continue a commitment to community service and social change while building new friendships and alliances.

  5. Reflect on one's experience of God as encountered through the program and how the experience makes a difference in one's life.
