ASB is a week-long undergraduate service project around the Eastern/Southern United States during Spring Break. Groups travel to needy areas of Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Maryland, and new this year, New Orleans. In addition to these five sites, one of the student groups will be heading to Puebla, Mexico. Activities performed at all the sites may include interior and exterior home repair, maintenance work, soup kitchen work, and projects in the community where sites determine there is need. Through personal interaction with community members and trips throughout the area, you learn a great deal about the importance of service, your fellow students, and yourself.
We are a special project of the University of Michigan Project Serve ASB Program. We bring an additional spiritual aspect to our meetings and to the trip itself. We do, however, gain some of the resources that the university has to offer us.
At this time, the ASB program is for undergraduates only.
