Alternative Spring Break Sunday, February 26th 2012 through Saturday, March 3th 2012 |
ASB is a week-long undergraduate service trip during Spring Break to various underserved communities around the Eastern/Southern United States. Groups travel to Cranks Creek, Kentucky, Meridian, Mississippi, Baltimore, Maryland, New Orleans, Louisiana, Flint, Michigan, Charleston, West Virginia, Nashville, Tennessee, and, Chicago, Illinois! In addition to these eight sites, a group will be heading to the Dominican Republic. Activities performed at all the sites may include interior and exterior home repair, maintenance work, soup kitchen work, tutoring, and other projects in the community determined by the organizations we work with. Through personal interaction with community members, students learn a great deal about the importance of service, their fellow students, and themselves.
Our trips vary from other ASB trips in that we bring an additional spiritual aspect to our meetings and to the trip itself.
At this time, the ASB program is for undergraduates only.
