The Confirmation program at St. Mary's begins with enrollment of eighth grade students in the spring. The program starts the following August and concludes with Confirmation. Confirmation is a sacrament that deepens your faith life and allows you to see how the Holy Spirit is working in your life. It enlivens the gifts that we received at our Baptism.

Where: Confirmation is conferred at St. Mary Student Parish.
Who: 8th graders whose families are active members of St. Mary Student Parish.

When Classes are held: The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, Sunday of every Month from 3:15 to 4:45.

Parents: Parents will meet with Sr. Dorothy Ederer O.P. on designated Sundays for class to keep updated with what their children are learning. They will continue to deepen their relationship with Jesus and see how the Holy Spirit is alive in their faith life.

Catechists: Graduate Students at the University of Michigan

Sponsors: One who walks with our teen in helping him/her to discern whether they are ready to receive the sacrament of Confirmation.

Who can be a Sponsor? A Confirmed Catholic who is interested in sharing his/her faith with the teen.
