Centering Prayer is a method of silent, contemplative prayer in which thoughts and feelings are stilled as we simply seek to be with God. It is rooted in centuries-old monastic prayer and the book Open Heart, Open Mind by Fr. Thomas Keating is a good introduction.
All are welcome.
The first Monday of each month is a special introductory session, during which we listen to an audio tape that describes the method of Centering Prayer, then sit for one 20-minute silent prayer session.
